Overview
TradeCalc (https://example.com) is a set of free, browser-based calculators for Indian stock market traders and investors. This policy explains what information the site collects, what it deliberately does not collect, and how the small amount of data it does touch is handled. It's written to describe what this site actually does, not a generic template — if you notice anything here that no longer matches how the site behaves, please treat the site's real behavior as authoritative and let us know so this page can be corrected.
What this site does not collect
Every calculator on this site — brokerage and charges, F&O margin, options profit/ loss and strategy building, pivot points, position sizing, and every SIP calculator — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type in (account size, entry and stop-loss prices, strike prices, premiums, target amounts, monthly investment figures, and so on) are processed locally on your device to produce a result. None of that input data is sent to, received by, processed by, or stored on any server operated by this site. There is no backend API, no database, and no server-side calculation logic anywhere in this site's code — closing the browser tab or refreshing the page discards everything you entered.
What data may be collected
Server and hosting logs. Like virtually every website, this site's hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical information for every request — such as IP address, browser/device user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request. This happens at the hosting/infrastructure level regardless of the site's own code, is standard practice for operating a website, and is typically retained only briefly for security and operational purposes (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing outages).
Analytics. As of this policy's last update, this site does not have any analytics service (such as Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or similar) integrated into it. No page-view, click, or usage-behavior tracking is currently active. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to name the specific service, what it collects, and how to opt out, before it goes live.
Contact form data. If this site provides a contact form or a published contact email address, and you choose to use it, the site will receive whatever you submit (for example, your email address and message) solely to respond to your inquiry. That information is not sold, rented, or used for advertising, and is not linked to any calculator inputs, since the calculators never transmit anything in the first place.
Cookies & third-party services
This site does not currently run live advertising. Several pages reserve visual space for future Google AdSense ad units, but as of this policy's last update those slots are placeholder boxes only — no AdSense script is loaded, and no ad-related cookies are set by this site today.
When AdSense is switched on, Google and its advertising partners will use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads (including, where applicable, personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites) and to measure ad performance. You will be able to review and adjust how Google personalizes ads for you — including opting out of personalized advertising — at Google's own Ads Settings page: adssettings.google.com. You can also control cookies generally through your browser's own settings, and opt out of some third-party ad personalization industry-wide via aboutads.info/choices. This section will be revised with more specific detail once AdSense is actually live on the site.
Aside from the hosting provider that serves this site's pages (which, like any host, processes requests to deliver content — see "Server and hosting logs" above), this site does not currently integrate any other third-party service that collects data about visitors.
Data retention
Because the calculators themselves never transmit or store your inputs, there is essentially nothing calculator-related to retain — it never leaves your browser in the first place. Server and hosting logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes and are not retained indefinitely. If you contact us, we retain that correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to address your inquiry.
User rights
If you are located in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) gives you certain rights as a "Data Principal" over your personal data as a "Data Fiduciary" processes it — including the right to seek information about how your personal data is processed, to request correction or erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent you've previously given. Depending on your location, other privacy laws may give you comparable rights. Because this site's calculators don't collect your inputs at all, in practice these rights are most relevant to any contact-form correspondence or analytics data described above. Children's privacy
This site provides financial calculators and educational content aimed at adults making their own trading and investing decisions. It is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time — for example, if analytics or advertising are switched on, or if a contact form is added or changed. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to check back periodically, especially before providing any information through this site.

TradeCalc is currently placeholder branding pending a registered business name, address, and domain. Until those are finalized, privacy-related questions can be directed to privacy@example.com — a placeholder address that should be replaced with a real, monitored inbox before this site goes live publicly.
